Flooring FAQ

What are some advantages to epoxy

Advantages and reasons to have Epoxy Flooring
Epoxy has become a very popular and classy trend.  It looks amazing and has so many benefits.
Economical
It’s much cheaper than granite slabs or marble.  Some people even try scoring or putting in grid patterns.  That costs $6 to 48 dollars a square foot. When you calculate how much other flooring systems are you will be amazed at how cheap Epoxy flooring can be.
By adding an epoxy coat to your garage floor or driveway will add curb appeal as well.

Does the Sun affect the epoxy?

Yes.  The sun especially here in Arizona will shorten the lifespan of your epoxy.  however we don't use the cheap stuff that starts to chip away or peel after 3-5 years.  We have a 15 year guarantee on all our floors

How long does Epoxy last?

Longevity
We don’t use the cheap stuff.  We only use the best epoxy. Compared to a laminate, wooden, linoleum, or all other floors that only last a decade or so.  Because it’s bonded right on to your concrete it will last as long as you own your home.
Low Maintenance
Because of its strength it is very low maintenance.  You don’t need to continually wax it or stain it like other materials.  If you spill water on it just grab a towel and wipe it up.  Oil spill? No problem, wipe it up.

Whats the application process?

Every floor is different and no two jobs are the same.  This being said jobs can be very similar and we always follow a certain process. There are three major steps we follow.
Step 1-- Preparation
It’s all in the preparation. There’s a painter saying that the key to a good paint job is in the preparation.  This is true with epoxy. Utilizing Coarse Diamond cutters/scrubbers small pits, oil stains, imperfections, light finishing’s or discolorations are gotten rid of from the flooring. Many floorings could be prepped with using a concrete grinder .
Step 2-- Primer
Epoxy Primers give a wealth of advantages for your finishing, with some focusing on issues connected with the surface area of the concrete itself. To make sure that you attain the most effective bonding attachment and also long lasting epoxy floor you must use an epoxy primer.
Step 3-- APPLICATION
Throughout the application of the resinous item, our accredited service technician will certainly blend both A and also B parts each the items spec. Once component A as well as B have been blended the hardener will began to do it’s job and start to harden. Now, the group starts back rolling the Epoxy resin to cover the flooring to you desired thickness and pattern.
We provide a "Full Broadcast" Granitex shade chip flooring with a Clear Polyurethane, 2-Part Epoxy Topcoat.
This consists of a base/primer layer, 100% coverage of chips, complied with by a clear, fuel & effect impact immune resistant clear overcoat. The most effective epoxy floor covering system around. Made by Arizona Polymers.

Types of Epoxy and Polyurethane floors?

Polished Concrete
Polished Concrete has become a huge desire in retail, commercial and residential spaces.
It is very easy to maintain, and is very cost effective compared to other options.
You can choose between gloss level, stain color, and aggregate type.  We will help you from step one to choosing an epoxy color, style and reflection all the way to pulling your car back into your garage.
Stained Concrete
If you are looking for a very economical concrete surface stained concrete is the way to go.  Stained concrete is not an epoxy coating or a paint over the top.  Stained concrete actually penetrates your concrete. When applying this chemical it reactes with the concrete giving it the color you desire and a permanent bond.  Must people prefer epoxy but staining your concrete is sometimes a great option.
